Alternative sites - why bother when Hill Top's a pushover?
The Government's Environmental Assessment gives details of the unbelievably superficial consideration of alternatives to the Hill Top site selected.
The unsuitability of the site selected is detailed in the HTRAG document Unsuitability of site selected HTRAG prepared an analysis of alternative sites at its own expense which was submitted to the Department of Planning without response.

There is already a sporting shooting range there. This site was dismissed in the Government's selection process without full consideration of the adequate space, lack of nearby communities and low environmentally sensitivity.
HTRAG believes a facility with unrestricted scope for serving the needs of shooters into the future without the restrictions which the Government is already imposing on the proposed expensive development at the unpopular and ill-chosen Hill Top site.
